Job Overview
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our team at Dotty Brothers Construction, a leading residential home development company. As an Interior Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping the aesthetics, functionality, and livability of our residential projects. Your work will enhance the value and appeal of our homes, ensuring each property resonates with our brand standards and meets our clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conceptual Design: Develop design concepts for residential interiors that align with the project’s architectural style and the company’s brand vision.
- Space Planning: Optimize room layouts and space utilization to enhance functionality, comfort, and aesthetic appeal for prospective homeowners.
- Material and Finish Selection: Choose materials, finishes, and colors that reflect both design trends and the practical needs of residential spaces, ensuring durability and quality.
- Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand their design preferences, lifestyle requirements, and budget constraints; integrate client feedback into the design process.
- Budget Management: Create and manage budgets for design aspects, ensuring that projects remain within financial parameters without compromising quality.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with suppliers and contractors to source furniture, fixtures, materials, and accessories, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of all design elements.
- Project Oversight: Collaborate with architects, project managers, and construction teams to ensure the smooth implementation of designs, addressing any on-site challenges that arise.
- Trend Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and innovations to ensure our homes remain competitive and desirable in the market.
- Documentation and Presentations: Prepare and present design boards, floor plans, 3D renderings, and mood boards to clients and stakeholders for review and feedback.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Interior Designer in residential design 3+ years preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts effectively to clients and team members.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt designs based on budgetary or space limitations.
